FuelSave is supplied as a multi-pack system that is mixed on site and spray applied by our skilled installation engineers. The aqueous consistency of FuelSave penetrates refractory surface porosity to form an impervious protective film which generates exceptional non-stick characteristics while substantially improving the refractories resistance to chemical attack from volatile organic compounds and other process contaminants. The proprietary and “UNIQUE” nano-organic-metallic oxide formulation has an aqueous consistency that permeates porosity in the refractory substrate to provide an impervious non-stick membrane to provide optimum long-term emissivity. By preventing the sticking of dust ash and oxides present in the processing atmosphere, FuelSave resists chemical attack from contaminants or volatiles found in fossil fuels or volatilised feed stock oxides, thus protecting refractories and enhancing longevity.

With a final installed thickness equalling approximately 30-40 microns, weight of the sintered coating amounts to a mere 250g/m2, rendering FuelSave as equally effective on low mass, low strength fibrous insulation linings as it is on dense refractory brick or monolithic.

Essentially FuelSave is NOT A CERAMIC based coating and therefore the perennial problems of coating, spalling or separation through differentials in thermal expansion are resolved...GUARANTEED.

Technology

FuelSave is unique and innovative High Emissivity Coating based on Nano Organic Metallic Oxides. FuelSave is NOT a CERAMIC based formulation and therefore successfully overcomes the issue of thermal spalling and coating separation, a failure mechanism synonymous with traditional refractory oxide based coatings if used in applications subjected to repeated thermal cycling.

Installation

FuelSave is typically applied using airless spray equipment, with each installation normally being completed in ONE day. A team, professional comprising of one spray operative and one support worker is generally sufficient to treat up to 400m2 of refractory surface area per day. For larger furnaces, extra spray operatives would be required to guarantee same day completion.
